Women's hockey has a huge win 

Team BC women's hockey had a huge win over Ontario on Monday, putting them at 2-0 in prelimimnary play. They face Nova Scotia today at 4 p.m. at Centrium.

Team BC picked up two medals on the cross country course on Monday. 

Remi Drolet (Rossland) won Team BC their first gold medal for week two sports at the 2019 Canada Winter Games, in the 10 kilometre men's cross country interval start.

Benita Peiffer (Whistler) took silver in the women's 7.5 kilometre cross country free technique.

In squash, in the Individual Championship semi finals, the top seeded players showed why they were favoured to play for gold as they advanced to the finals scheduled for Friday, March 1. On the boy’s side, the bronze medal match has Sam Scivier (Vancouver) facing off against Nova Scotia’s Douglas Kosciukiewicz.  On the girl’s side, the gold medal match will see #1 seed Charlotte Orcutt from Ontario take on #2 Lucia Bicknell (West Vancouver).

In Monday'’s Super-G race, we had six alpine skiers finish in the top 20.

In badminton, several athletes will be moving on to the quarterfinals including Antonio Li (Victoria) in men’s singles, Wendy Zhang (Richmond) in women’s singles, Kinsley Lu (Coquitlam) and Kevin Luo (Richmond) in men’s doubles and finally, Katie Ngai (Richmond) and Jenna Won (surrey) in women’s doubles.

Today medals will be presented in alpine skiing, cross country skiing, judo and trampoline.
