Team BC alumni received 21 nominations and came home with four honours on Thursday night at the 55th annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards.

Coach Conversation: Team bronze for BC in badminton is first in more than a decade

A grueling week for BC in badminton ended on a high note with a bronze medal in the mixed team event - the first team medal in the sport for BC since the 2011 Games.

In addition to winning medals and excelling in her sport, 15-year-old snowboarder Amalia (Billy) Pelchat from Whistler is also on a mission to promote sport participation to girls.
