Team BC Special Olympics athletes qualify for finals in Winnipeg
It was another good afternoon for the Team BC Special Olympics athletes, who ran the qualifiers for men’s and women’s 200 metres. Surrey’s Malcom BORSOI achieved his second personal best of the Games, winning his heat with a time of 24.42. He goes into Friday’s 200m final as the second-fastest qualifier. Teammates Brock TERLESKY (Quesnel), April ARMSTRONG (Burnaby), and Melissa SEMKE (Surrey) also qualified for the A final. This caps two days of successful qualification for the Special Olympics team, who will be looking for medal results in the 100m final on Thursday and 200m final on Friday at the University of Manitoba Stadium.

BC’s Para men ran the heats of the 200m wheelchair today. Sedrick SKABAR’s  (Port Coquitlam) time of 31.33 will see him into the A final, while Balraj ZIMICH (Richmond)  made the B final with a time of 32.91.
