Athletes were pumped up for their week at the 2019 Canada Winter Games after attending the pep rally on Sunday.

This award is funded through the Powering Potential Fund established by the BC Games Society.

Jenna Buglioni (Port Moody) had a hat trick and Jenn Gardiner (Surrey) potted two goals as Team BC defeated Alberta 6-1 in the opening game of women’s hockey.

Squash was in full competition mode on Sunday with the men’s, women’s and team events underway.

In the men’s event, Sam Scivier (Vancouver) moves to the semi final round today. On the women’s side, Lucia Bicknell (West Vancouver) will head to the semi final.

Both the men and women’s team defeated Alberta in the team event.
