Welcome week two athletes

The Team BC cheer squad welcomed 126 athletes to Red Deer to Saturday as 123 athletes from week one departed.

"We had a great turnover day as we welcomed two athletes to Red Deer for the Canada Winter Games. We remind all the athletes joining us to take time to emjoy the experience of a multi-sport games and be courteous to the volunteers who make these Games run so smoothly," said Jen Scott, Chef de Mission for Team BC.

Pep rally is today from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Arts Centre at Red Deer College. Please wear your blue long sleeve shirt.

Competition starts today for some of the sports including squash, curling and hockey. If you have some downtime today get out to a sport and cheer on Team BC.

We have cheer gear in the Team BC office (2404) for sale including hats, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts and hoodies. Drop in and pick up merchandise for your friends and family. You can also stop in the office for uniform exchanges.

Coaches lounge - room 1500 - there is fireside chat each night at 8 p.m.
