It was an eight-medal day for British Columbia at the PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games on Wednesday as Team BC stayed near the top of the medal standings.

The gold rush continued for Team BC in karate and freestyle skiing on Tuesday in PEI as the sports were back on top of the podium to help move BC to nine gold medals.

It’s the second time at a Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown for Team BC’s Richard Ikeda, first as a gymnastics competitor in 1991 and now as a coach for his son Ethan Ikeda. 

It was another successful day for Team BC at the PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games on Monday as the province stood on the podium in biathlon, karate, gymnastics and table tennis.
