Canada Summer Games Week 1 Complete

Canada Summer Games Week 1 Complete
Week 1 of the Canada Summer Games has come to a close. The Games were officially opened on August 2nd  2013 and will run until August 18th. Initially competing in the games were baseball, men's Basketball, Sailing, Softball, Volleyball, Tennis, Wrestling, women's Soccer and Cycling (mountain). In the first 7 days of the Games Team BC earned a total of 62 medals, 21 of which were gold.

As the first week of the 2013 Canada Summer Games come to a close, many athletes are able to take in other competitions, cheer on their teammates and meet other athletes. The Team BC Basketball boys are an excellent example of athletes taking advantage of the unique opportunity of a multi-sport Games.
