Team BC earned three medals at the Canada Winter Games on Tuesday in Prince George taking a bronze in the men’s team air pistol target shooting and two silvers – the first in the 7.5 km female biathlon, followed by silver in men’s para alpine giant slalom.

Prince George’s Emily Dickson skis away with another medal in biathlon while her teammates steal several spots in the top five.

Northern B.C. had its first athlete take the podium on Sunday when Emily Dickson earned a bronze in 12.5km biathlon event.

Biathlon was busy today getting ready for competition starting Sunday with the men's 15km and women's 12.5kim races.

The new biathlon range in Prince George has energized young biathletes to pursue the sport.

Three Gold medals on Friday helped push Team BC to second in the medal standings at the end of Week One of the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

Sarah Beaudry of Prince George won the Gold medal in biathlon at the 2011 Canada Winter Games Tuesday, after fighting hard through blowing snow and gusting winds to capture the win in the 7.5 km Sprint Race.  It was her second medal of the Games.

A dozen Prince George athletes and five coaches or managers will be attending the 2011 Canada Winter games, which run Feb. 11 to Feb. 27.
