BC Snowboard Association is pleased to announce the athletes who will be representing BC at the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George this February. Athletes have undergone a selection process and training opportunities and benefits related to Team BC. The final team is as follows:

Canada Winter Games is a celebration of youth, sport, culture and community, and is a multi-sport event held every 4 years in Canada. For many sports these Games are an integral step for athletes to reach International competition.
Dane Kaechele, Head Coach for the Snowboard Team at the Games comments “Our athletes are looking forward to representing BC at the Canada Winter Games and they will all be training hard in the next month to be in top form with the support of on and off snow training, medical and physical testing, strength and conditioning.”
Chris Nakonechny, Head Coach of the BC Provincial Snowboard Cross Team adds “This is a great opportunity for the BC athletes to be able to compete in their home Province. The lead up to the Games has allowed BC Snowboard and the Northern clubs to further grow the sport in the North. All in all it has been very successful with having 3 Northern athletes selected to represent BC in the Games.”
BC Snowboard is asking for support of our athletes and coaches in their quest for Gold at the 2015 Canada Winter Games through a
GoFundMe Campaign.
BC Snowboard Association (BCSB), a non-profit sport organization, is the governing body of snowboarding with in the Province. BCSB is an organization that brings youth into a fun and supported environment while competing in a sport they love. Up and coming National Team riders and future pro athletes are bred through the BCSB and its programs.
Any person wishing to appeal a BC Snowboard Association selection decision must do so in accordance with the BC Snowboard Association Appeals Policy (posted at:
