Parallel Giant Slalom Competition concluded today for Snowboard

On another rigid cold day on the slopes in Red Deer, the parallel giant slalom competition for snowboard took place at Canyon Ridge. While no Team BC athletes reached the podium today, two female and two male snowboarders did reach the semi-finals.

In the female semi-finals, Audrey Shieh (Vancouver) lost to Anne Gagne from QB, while Brianna Belisle (Smithers) lost to Mariska Pelletier from QB. Shieh finished the competition 5th while Belisle concluded the day with a 7th place finish.

In the male semi-finals, Colby Graham (Prince George) lost to Jamie Behan from ON and Jacob Walper (Invermere) lost to Mikey Nazwaski from ON. Graham concluded the day in 6th place while Walper finished in 7th place.

Reese Tarasoff (West Kelowna) – 17th

Alex Lovell (Penticton) – 19th                 

 

Male

Colby Graham (Prince George) – 6th

Jacob Walper (Invermere) – 7th

Truth Smith (Whistler) – 11th

Daniel Loban (Lake Country) – 18th

 

Next Up: Training day tomorrow for slopestyle, followed by slopestyle competition on Thursday.
