Team BC Ringette took to the ice for the first time in Red Deer today with the first official practice of the 2019 Canada Winter Games. Following an exciting travel day, the girls were excited to these games underway.
“It felt great to be on the ice for the first time since arriving at the Games. Getting those nerves out before we compete is key to our comfort and success at these Games! We are excited and ready to play,” said Katie Carter (Maple Ridge) following the teams first practice.
Next Up: One more day of practice before competition will begin on February 17 where Team BC will face Team Ontario in the preliminaries at 10:00 am at the Collicutt Arena.
