It was another bronze medal performance for Victoria's Jay Lamoureux at Birds Hill Provincial Park Thursday in men's cycling at the 2017 Canada Games.
He placed third in the 126-kilometre road race with a time of 2:48:32 behind riders from Quebec and Alberta.
Earlier this week, Lamoureux also won bronze in time trial race.
The cycling competition wraps up Saturday with the men's and women's Criterium races.

On winning bronze
"It hurts, it hurts a lot, but it feels good. Today, we were looking to use everyone on our team and make it a team effort. It didn't really go exactly as planned, but we came away with a medal.That was our goal."
On the competition
"It was really hard. We had a big group of professional riders here. It made it really tough."

"The day was pretty hard. I ended up getting up the road with a rider from Quebec just to make sure Jay didn't have too do much work in the breakaway group The next group went, Jay was in it and it kind fell into place from there."
