WOMEN’S SOFTBALL FINISH THE GAMES UNDEFEATED
|
 8/12/2003 - Team BC was undefeated in Women’s Softball at the Games and captured the Gold medal. Going into the 3rd inning, Team BC was ahead 2-0 when Carly Wright (Pitt Meadows) hit a triple driving in 2 runs and eventually crossed the plate to make the game 5-0. |

TABLE TENNIS SWEEPS MEDALS

 8/12/2003 - Table Tennis wrapped up with the Singles competition. The players were drawn into two groups of eight for a round robin followed by double crossovers. |

8/10/2003 - Even though there was a 6:00am wake-up call for the men's baseball players, they were wide awake when they hit the field for their bronze medal match at 9:00 this morning. |

 8/10/2003 - There was some Golden Wrapping in Selkirk for Team BC Athletics Athletes. One of many highlights was the men’s 4 X 400m relay. |

RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS

 8/9/2003 - Some events will be delayed today for the safety of the athletes as severe rain and thundershowers sweep the venues. Current reports show Baseball, Canoeing and Softball all being delayed at least one hour from current times. Athletics is on schedule. |

 8/9/2003 - Rhythmic gymnastics finished their second day of competition by winning four medals. |

FOURTEEN MEDALS FOR ATHLETICS ON DAY TWO

 8/9/2003 - The Athletics team builds momentum. On Day two of competition, Athletics athletes brought in four gold, six silver and four bronze medals. |
